TVF&R purchased a 3.1-acre property at 15900 N.E. Dopp Road on Sept. 25, and the organization plans for it to be the future site of Station 22, near Ewing Young Elementary School.

The purchase price was $1.25 million. The estimated renovation cost will not be known until the request for proposal process later in the project timeline.

“While the 3.1-acre property includes a residence, driveway, and shop, updates and enhancements — including meeting seismic standards — will be necessary before the site is operational,” said Corinne Haning, public affairs officer with TVF&R. “The purchase of this property utilized the remaining funds that had been designated by the Newberg Rural Fire Protection District for a rural station, as well as general fund dollars.”

TVF&R is preparing a project page for its website and will soon post a sign on the property to indicate its use, Haning said.
