Yamhill County Commissioner Race Likely Headed to November 5
According to the Yamhill County Clerk election results, the May 21 Oregon Primary race between three candidates vying for Yamhill County Commissioner Position 2 is still open.
Three candidates—incumbent Lindsay Berschauer, David S Wall, and David “Bubba” King—divided 27,821 votes. King is the leader with 49.81% of the votes, followed by Berschauer with 45.28% of the votes. Wall earned 4.9%. Results will become official on June 17th.
Being a primary election, a winning candidate would be declared if one candidate earns 50% plus one vote. Should no candidate secure that margin, the candidates will run again in the November 5 election later this year.
The other contested measure on the ballot, Measure 34-332, passed with a 59.65% vote in favor.
