SEDCOR President Erik Andersson said the organization’s efforts over the past year brought in more than $179 million in investment, created 350 new jobs, and generated over $3.4 million in annual property tax revenue.

“These projects reflect the resilience and innovation that make the Mid-Willamette Valley a place where businesses thrive and people prosper,” he said.

Shawn Daley of George Fox University was recognized with the Community Leadership Award for his support of regional entrepreneurship programs and events, including SEDCOR’s Launch Mid-Valley initiative and hosting the Oregon Startup Conference.

Daley’s efforts have strengthened opportunities for local entrepreneurs and highlighted the role that Newberg-based institutions play in supporting economic growth across the region.

Dundee-based AHIVOY was also awarded Outstanding Public/Private Partnership for training Latinx vineyard stewards.

Other honorees included West Coast Companies, named Agri-Business of the Year for its innovation in agricultural processing and collaboration with Chemeketa Community College; Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, honored as Business Partner of the Year for helping startups access capital and statewide networks; Agility Robotics, recognized for Innovative Product/Process of the Year; The Merchant Block in Dayton, awarded the Dynamic Development Award for revitalizing downtown; Max’s Booch, named Entrepreneur of the Year for its locally sourced kombucha business; Salt Creek Cider House, recognized as Small Business of the Year; Russ Monk of High Impact Technology, named Economic Development Champion; and Don Pancho Authentic Mexican Foods, honored as Manufacturer of the Year for its Salem expansion.

SEDCOR also highlighted local development projects addressing workforce and housing needs. In Newberg, the organization supported a nine-home cottage cluster, part of broader efforts to provide housing solutions for regional employees.

“These honorees exemplify what makes our region strong—hard work, innovation, and a deep commitment to community,” said SEDCOR Board Chair Tony Schacher.

The ceremony marked both a celebration of past achievements and a look forward to continued growth, innovation, and collaboration across the Mid-Willamette Valley.
