NEWBERG, Ore. — Intellectual opponents Dr. Cornel West and Robert George for an hour-long conversation about the political polarization in our country and how two people on opposite ends of the ideological spectrum can still cross the line to maintain a close friendship. Nearly 800 reserved seats were filled at George Fox University’s Bauman Auditorium, including one occupied by Alexander Sample, Archbishop of Portland.
