CPRD Trails Survey Underway

The Chehalem Park and Recreation District (CPRD) is launching a survey to determine trail preferences about the area’s local trails to inform future trail development and maintenance, according to a press release from the CPRD Board.

“The Community Trails Survey will be distributed as a closed, simple, random sample to ensure a representative cross-section of the CPRD population is heard,” the board wrote in the press release.

Ransom community members, who are registered voters, will receive a physical mailer with a unique, scannable QR code that provides access to the survey. Those who do not take the survey will receive a follow-up mailer around two weeks after the initial mailer was sent. CPRD is collecting responses until Oct. 31.

Newberg Library Card Holders Have Access To Cultural Destinations

Did you know the library card in your wallet could do more than allow you to borrow books?

The Newberg Cultural Pass Program offers passes to various cultural destinations around the area:

This program is sponsored by the Newberg Early Birds Rotary Club and only available to Newberg patrons. Each household may visit each location twice a year (except for the Evergreen Museum and Pittock Mansion, which are both once a year). You must reserve passes in order to receive access, and passes can be received at least one month in advanced with a library card in good standing. Passes can be picked up at the information desk in the Newberg library, and there is a late fee of $5 per day if the passes are not returned on their due date.
