Uninhibited children
dance circles around
inhibited parents
Twirling twirly skirts
curls, braids, pony tails
bouncing to the beat
cartwheels of delight

Boys run
in circles
in chase
airplane arms zoom
tag, you’re it
flying on rhythm’s tail

Old guy in Rolling Stones Tee
guides her in sensible flats
rehearsed in-sync moves
dance partners for life

Music equalizes an equitable blessing
volume increase
heads bob in unity
Sam Cook
guitar rift
Mariachi
feet tapping
sax solo
slapping thighs in time
drum throbs
babes in arms smile
bass sets the beat
dogs grin
organ runs up the keyboard
Don’t know much about history
dancers appear
Don’t know much biology
children spin on grassy dance floor
But I do know that I love you
shoulders shaking
And I know that if you love me too
everyone now
What a wonderful world this would be
