For our family, Camp Tilikum has been much more than just a summer camp—it’s been a place where our kids have truly grown up in both character and faith.
Camp Tilikum gave our kids space to step away from everyday distractions and grow in their relationship with God in a way that feels real and lasting. Through worship, camper groups, and the daily example of the summer staff, they’ve learned what it looks like to live out their faith with authenticity and purpose. Those experiences have shaped not just what they believe, but how they live day to day.
There is intentionality behind everything at Tilikum. The staff genuinely care about each child, and it shows in the way they create a Christ-centered environment that is both welcoming and encouraging—a place where our kids felt seen, valued, and supported. As a parent, there’s something incredibly meaningful about watching your kids return year after year, not because they have to, but because they want to.
Over the years, our children have attended as campers and later returned as staff, and that full-circle experience has meant a great deal to us. As younger campers, they would come home sweaty, exhausted, and full of stories about new friends, favorite counselors, and moments that made them feel braver and more confident. As they grew older, working at Tilikum gave them the opportunity to further strengthen their relationships with God, as well as develop responsibility, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic—lessons that continue to shape who they are today.

Tilikum has become a constant in our lives. It is a place filled with joyful memories, deepened faith, personal growth, and lasting friendships. We’re truly grateful for the role Camp Tilikum has played in our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a summer camp experience that points kids toward something bigger than themselves.
