NEWBERG, Ore. — A longtime donut shop from Tualatin is expanding into Newberg, bringing the city its latest dedicated donut shop and filling a recently vacated food cart location along Portland Road.

Donut Land, a family-owned donut bakery business that has operated in Tualatin for more than 25 years, plans to open a drive-through-only shop at 3777 Portland Road in the former From Russia With Love food cart space. Owner Ran-D Baldwin said the new location is tentatively scheduled to open Feb. 1, with a soft opening planned ahead of a formal grand opening.
“We’ve been asked for years to open in Newberg,” Baldwin said. “Between that and the strong sense of community here, it felt like the right next step for us.”
Donut Land has operated a single location in Tualatin until now, focusing on making fresh donuts multiple times throughout the day. Baldwin said the shop emphasizes quality, consistency, and reliability as a local staple.
The Newberg location will operate exclusively as a drive-through, a setup Baldwin said allows the business to maintain speed and efficiency without sacrificing product quality or customer service.
“The space allows us to do what we do best,” he said. “It’s a great fit for both our team and our customers.”
In addition to donuts, the Newberg shop will offer espresso-based drinks, other specialty beverages, and breakfast bagel sandwiches. Baldwin said the shop will serve Stumptown Coffee to “match the quality and care we put into our donuts.”
Customers will be able to purchase donuts individually or by the dozen, with options to preorder larger orders for events and holidays. While preorders are not required, Baldwin said they help the shop prepare for bulk requests.
The site was previously home to From Russia With Love, a Russian food and coffee cart that, on Dec. 14 announced it had sold its Newberg location after about a decade in operation. In a social media post, the owners thanked customers for 10 years of support and said they continue to operate locations in Aurora and Oregon City, with plans for a third location in the future.
Baldwin said he hopes Donut Land can become a dependable stop for Newberg residents, particularly as the city currently does not have a standalone donut shop.
“Our goal is simple,” he said. “We want to be a place people can count on for great donuts and a smooth, friendly experience. We’re excited to listen, learn, and grow with the Newberg community.”
