The five-week summer series kicks off June 24 in the forecourt of the Chehalem Cultural Center, 415 E. Sheridan St., with performances every Tuesday evening through July 22. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and live music runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Scott Parker said this year’s acts were selected with more of a thematic approach than in previous years, focusing on performances that complement other community activities. The committee also emphasized elevating local talent, both emerging and established.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food and nonalcoholic beverages are welcome, while alcoholic drinks must be purchased on site. A valid ID and wristband are required to buy alcohol, with sales permitted from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. within the fenced plaza area.
Leashed dogs are welcome, and limited chair rentals are available for $1.
Parking is available at nearby business lots along Hancock Street, behind the Cultural Center, and throughout downtown Newberg. Howard and Sheridan streets will be closed during concerts for pedestrian access and vendor setup. Organizers ask attendees to avoid parking in the surrounding residential neighborhood.
“I have to thank our volunteers and sponsors each and every year,” Parker said. “It’s not an understatement to say this great, fun, free event would not be possible without them.”

Tunes on Tuesday 2025 Lineup
June 24: Luna Sea Trio & Hometown Sound
While Tunes on Tuesday typically features one act per show, the kickoff performance will include two local acts: Luna Sea Trio as the opener and Hometown Sound as the headliner.
“In the past we haven’t had a lot of smaller local acts like this,” Parker said. “I’m looking forward to helping launch some local talent this year and hopefully in the future.”
July 1: Trent Beaver and The Damage
Trent Beaver is a Pacific Northwest–based singer-songwriter whose music blends soul, Americana, R&B, rock and country. He has performed across the region and recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Beaver has shared the stage with artists including Deana Carter, Sunny Sweeney, and Art Alexakis of Everclear. He will perform in Newberg with his band, The Damage.
Parker said the committee selected Beaver to align with the St. Paul Rodeo, which returns to neighboring St. Paul from July 1 to 5.
July 8: Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle
Newberg native Ben Rice is a Portland-based guitarist and singer-songwriter whose music draws from blues, soul, R&B, folk and country. A former International Blues Challenge finalist, Rice has toured nationally and internationally since his breakout in 2014. In 2023, he formed Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle, a full band featuring horns, piano, organ and vocal harmonies.
July 15: Tuesday String Band
Tuesday String Band is a bluegrass group composed of Western Oregon University music students and alumni. Formed less than two years ago, the band performs regularly across the Pacific Northwest and has appeared at events such as the North Cascades Bluegrass Festival. They also play weekly at Gilgamesh Brewing in Independence and are a member band of the Oregon Bluegrass Association.
“We wanted to capitalize on the success of the Newgrass Festival and keep bluegrass growing in Newberg,” Parker said.
July 22: Hit Machine
Hit Machine is a Portland-based cover band led by Newberg native frontman Bart Hafeman. Known for performing at weddings, corporate events and festivals across the Pacific Northwest, the group is one of the region’s longest-running event bands. Their setlists feature a range of popular songs aimed at engaging audiences and encouraging crowd participation.
