NEWBERG, Ore. — April Showers brought Vaudeville Flowers in the 25th installment of Chehalem Valley Vaudeville on Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19 at the Chehalem Cultural Center’s Black Box Theatre.
The show followed in traditional vaudeville fashion, with a live band, comedy skits, vocal performances, juggling, magic, poetry, and more.
Founded by Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Scott Parker and Kat Ricker of Chehalem Parks and Recreation District, Chehalem Valley Vaudeville launched in 2022 to delight audiences when the community was politically divided, Parker said.
The show has continued every year since, now running four shows per year. The next show is A Very Scary Vaudeville on October 17 and 18 in the Black Box Theater. The final show of the season, A Vaudeville Holiday will run in the Cultural Center’s LaJoie Theatre on December 5.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youth, and $5 under the “Arts for All” program valid for anyone with an Oregon Trail Card.
