Green Planet Marijuana Dispensary Opens in Newberg
NEWBERG, Ore. — After years of preparation and renovations, Green Planet Marijuana Dispensary is now open at 301 W 1st Street.
Owner Miranda Murray said she and her co-owner, Travis Moffatt, purchased the lot in May 2020. In December 2021, the company received approval to begin construction. Between then and September 2024, Murray said they had been waiting for funds to complete the work.
Murray said they chose Newberg because it aligns with their business location strategy. Newberg will be the company’s eighth dispensary, with others in Portland, Canby, King City, Aloha, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, and Milwaukie.
The building previously housed American Classics and Hot Rods, a classic and luxury car showroom and dealership. That business closed on Aug. 22, 2019, according to state records.
