Diaper Drive Kicks Off at Krohn’s Appliances
For the eighth consecutive year, Brian Love — Owner of Krohn’s Appliances in Newberg — is leading the charge to help babies and families in Yamhill County by facilitating one of the largest diaper drives of the year, according to a press release from A Family Place.
“Diaper need is a growing problem in our country,” the release stated. “One in two families cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. These babies are more vulnerable to painful rashes and urinary tract infections, and have more trips to the doctor.”
Donations can be dropped off at participating locations around Yamhill County, including:
- Krohn’s Appliance (address)
- Car Quest — Mac Auto Supply (address)
- Umpqua Bank (address)
- Faulconer-Chapman School (address)
- Newberg Ace Hardware (address)

Newsberg is Out of Office in January, Implementing New Events Calendar
As a way to control growth and streamline the busuiness, Newsberg is taking a break from publishing for the month of January. Newsbergt will resume publishing on January 30, 2024.
Newsberg is also in the process of onboarding a new, local events calendar which will provide a more automated event gathering system, freeing up valuable time for your local neighborhood reporter. This calendar should be live by the second week of January.
While Newsberg is implementing the calendar, there may be lapses in service to make tweaks and changes. However, by the end of January, the calendar should be fully functional and include nearly twice the unique events thanks to the technology platform.
If you are a business interested in supporting the events calendar, contact Newsberg to learn about sponsor opportunities. Events are free to publish for any individual, business, or organization in the community and the new platform makes it simple to promote if you’d like to reach a wider audience. More information on that to follow.
