Open House for N Main Street and Illinois Intersection Study

The N Main Street and Illinois Intersection project is studying how to improve safety and mobility at this intersection. It has a history of collisions, close calls and mobility concerns.

In 2006, N Main Street at Illinois Street was realigned from a skewed angle to a 90-degree intersection. This forced traffic on Highway 240 to slow before turning right onto city streets, however, the City aims to further improve the intersection.

The city is aiming to gather community feedback to make the intersection safer for everyone during an open house at the Chehalem Cultural Center on October 25, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m.
